Justin wishes we were at the San Diego Comic Con, but in a few weeks we'll be at the Chicago Comic Con, but we still take time out to discuss the San Diego Comic Con and some of the announcements being made there. We also talk about some games we've been playing, Prototype and Justins issues with Tiger Woods 2009. . Tonights top is our top 5 favorite movie scores.

Mancini's score for the godfather triliogy is just as important to the movies as WIlliam's score for Star Wars or Shore's score for LotR. for 2001, I think it certainly counts. It's one of the most memorable scores for a SciFi movie ever, particularly the opening scene. You never said anything about a score having to be original. You just said it had to make the movie memorable.

Btw, Jurassic Park? That is way low on my list of John WIlliams scores. The ones I'd put above it:

    Shindler's List
Saving Private Ryan (this is a fantastic score btw. One of his best ever.)
    Harry Potter 1-3
    Jaws
    Fiddler On the Roof
    Superman

Also if you don't have it, pick up the Star Wars Original Trilogy Box Set. It includes a 4th CD with all kinds of music that didn't make it into the scene, including alternate intros to the first movie and alternate versions of the cantina piece.

I like the main Godfather theme, but beyond that it doesn't do much more for me. On Twitter, you mentioned 2001. I don't think that counts cause it's just a collection of classical music.

couple things about this week's episode.

WoW is alot less like LotR then most other fantasy storylines out there. The only real comparison I see is the Lich King story line, which is just a single story thread.

How could you leave the Godfather off of your list??

It may be a little premature to call it, but I think the Detroit Tigers are toast.
